Also, The Persian Gulf map will be released this month "shortly" after the F/A-18C comes out. That's straight from the horses mouth. Matt Wagner posted this video on Facebook and YouTube stating everything we need to know about the state of the F/A-18C. And what Matt Wagner says for DCS goes.
He stated that the Hornet will come with Aim-9 and Aim-7 missiles for air to air engagements. We will eventually get the Aim-120 but that won't be for a while after release. He also stated that we will get free fall bombs and rockets for air to ground attacks. Again, we will get guided weapons but not for a while.
I'm looking forward to the F/A-18C and the Persian Gulf map coming out. But, I'm more thrilled that with the Hornet getting released we'll be just a few months away from seeing the F-14 from Heatblur coming to us. There's no release date for the F-14 from Heatblur or ED, but I'm thinking we should see it between July and September. Of course Heatblur or ED could decide to release it earlier or later than I'm expecting. But that three month period seems reliable from what I've seen from ED and their partners before.
See you in the skies over Iran.
